Help Me Choose: Which Cover Works Best for The Light Between Us?
One of the most exciting—and surprisingly difficult—parts of publishing a novel is designing the cover.
A book cover has a big job to do. It needs to catch a reader’s eye, hint at the story inside, and hopefully persuade someone to click, pick up, or buy the book. Getting it right isn’t always easy.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on a refreshed cover design for my debut novel, The Light Between Us. I’ve narrowed it down to two versions that I really like, but now I’ve reached the point where I need some outside opinions.
That’s where you come in.
Below you’ll find two possible covers for The Light Between Us. Both capture the mood and themes of the story, but each does it in a slightly different way. One leans more towards simplicity and atmosphere, while the other places greater emphasis on the characters and setting.

You don’t need to have read the book to vote. In fact, a fresh perspective is often the most valuable. Simply tell me:
